UKS2 Indoor Rowing - January 2022

We are super proud of our Year 5s and 6s! Even with one team member down, this amazing group of children managed to win the Indoor Rowing Competition held at Heanor Gate Spencer Academy on Wednesday 26th January 2022.

Competing against four other local schools, these fabulous rowers won an amazing 7 out of the 11 races. The team amassed a huge 570 points, which literally blew the competition out of the water!

Not only were they brilliant sports people, they also showed sportsmanship values throughout the entire evening and cheered each other on right until the very end.

Sadly, Mr Wylie could only manage fourth place in the teachers race! It's a good job this didn't count towards the results...
