Amazon Rainforest
We have continued to develop our understanding about the Amazon Rainforest this half term. We have learned about the layers within the rainforest, how they differ and why this is important for the species that live there. This was the stimulus for our independent research into animals of the Amazon Rainforest and their habitats. We have also learned about plant species that live in the rainforest and what they provide for us: coffee, chocolate, spices, bananas, different types of wood and much more. To conclude our topic, we held a deforestation debate in which pupils were able to voice their opinions whilst explaining their knowledge and understanding about rainforests.
