Our Teams
House Teams
At Howitt Primary School, we work as a team and we encourage children of all ages to work together, to Achieve, Care and Enjoy their time with us.
Our children are placed in family teams and rewarded with house points for showing good manners, qualities of honesty, respect and caring for others.
We have four house teams, based on the local area:
Chatsworth, Hardwick, Kedleston and Haddon.
This year, we are excited to be taking part in whole school competitions again and earning lots of team points.

Team Points 2019
Times Times Competition
In Autumn 1, the children completed their first competition of the year, which was times tables. Children battled in a friendly competition to see which of the competitors was 'top-tabler' for their house team - most enjoyable and fun to watch their incredible speed!
Darts Competition with a Twist
In Autumn 2, the children completed their second competition of the year, which was a darts competition with a twist (with bean bags and on the playground). The children battled in a friendly competition to see who could land 3 bean bags to gain the highest score.
Handwriting Competition
In Spring 1, the children completed their third competition of the year, which was a handwriting competition. WOW! What fantastic handwriting we have seen!

Read at Home Competition
