School Meals

Since September 2014, all reception, year 1 and 2 have been entitled to a free school meal each day.  This entitlement brings benefits to pupils and parents alike, and we encourage all of our children to take up this offer.

We are fortunate to have an on-site kitchen, where Mrs Thomas and her team prepare fresh healthy meals for the children daily.

If your child requires a 'medical diet', ie food allergies, intolerances and auto immune conditions that require a modified menu to make food safe for them, please click the link below:-

Allergies and special diets - Derbyshire Catering Service

You will be required to provide medical evidence to support your request.

As well as the choice of main option or a vegetarian option, we can provide jacket potato, baguette or sandwiches, should your child wish.

Please click the link below to read Derbyshire County Council's Medical Diet Safeguarding Standard document.

The current cost is £3.25 per day (£16.25 per week) and this should be paid for via ParentPay.

Children can bring packed lunches if preferred (children all eat together in the canteen).

Application forms for free school meals are available from school and should be completed and returned to the school office.

We follow the Derbyshire County Council meal planwww2.myschoollunch.co.uk/derbyshire/.

Look out for our special Theme Days throughout the year…..

They’re FUN and are the same price as a regular meal!

Break time

Our infant children have a free piece of fruit each day provided by the government.

Children in KS2 may bring a healthy snack for break time.  We promote healthy eating and suggest fruit, dried fruit, cheese, etc.
