Summer 1 and 2 - The Stone Age to the Iron Age

What was prehistoric Britain like?

In the summer term, we are learning about the changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

We enjoyed getting hooked into our learning and learning about what prehistory is!

We have started to learn about the three different periods in the Stone Age!

Take a look at our brilliant writing!

We are looking forward to finding out lots more about the Bronze Age and the Iron Age next half term, as well as visiting Creswell Crags!

Summer 2

We enjoyed our first Forest Schools session where we made Stone Age jewellery and weapons! We also enjoyed some lovely hot chocolate to finish off our session!

Creswell Crags

We had a brilliant time on our school trip to Creswell Crags. We completed a variety of activities including survival skills and cave art, as well as exploring the gorge and even getting to go inside a cave! We learned lots more facts about the Stone Age and had a brilliant day!

Stonehenge

We really enjoyed learning about the mystery of Stonehenge. Take a look at what we found out from our independent research!

Green Screen!
The children worked in teams to create videos to show their learning about prehistoric Britain.  The children worked really hard to include all of the facts they had learned about either the Stone Age, the Bronze Age or the Iron Age. They planned their videos using a storyboard and created the resources they needed for their final piece. The children absolutely loved using a green screen to record their videos! Well done Y3/4!
