Reception
Home Learning January 2021:
Information about home learning in lockdown 2021 can be found here and on this page below is your home learning timetable for each week.
Please do read our Remote Learning Offer information. You will receive your child's login details for Google Classroom. They will be sent out from today onwards, so look out for an email.
You will be able to talk to your teacher online on Monday for their 'Meet and Greet' welcome session - times and details to follow.
From then, will be posting information on the year group Home Learning page and on Google Classroom.
During this period of lockdown we will be posting activities and resources for you to support your child to continue to learn from home. You will find links to all online resources on the weekly timetable.
We encourage you to share your child's learning by keeping in touch with us by using your class teacher's school email address.
Google Classrooms:
We meet everyday at 9am on Goggle Classrooms to explain the activities for the day. This is also a good opportunity for your child to see their friends and ask the class teacher any questions.
We would like to see as many of you as possible on Google Classrooms every Monday Morning, as we are now starting to set challenges and quizzes online.
Check out the 'classroom' tab when you log onto Google Classrooms to see the latest challenges and activities we have posted daily.
If you are struggling to access Google Classrooms then please contact the school office as soon as possible for help.
The Embark Award:
We are launching weekly challenges to help you take part in The Embark Award. We will set each challenge every Monday whilst on Google Classrooms and you will have the week to complete it and send photos to your class teacher.
You can find out more about The Embark Award here.
Collins Big Cat ebooks
These are reading books that can be accessed online using the login details included in your child’s home learning pack. Your child will be allocated new books on a weekly basis so they can continue their reading at home and share them with a grown up. The skills to focus on are letter sounds, segmenting and blending (c-a-t cat). Please talk about the events, setting and characters in the books when appropriate.
Please email photos of your child's work to their class teacher, using the email addresses previously sent out.
We look forward to seeing what you have achieved with your home learning!
