Let's Celebrate!

This half term our learning will focus around celebrations! We will be finding out about Bonfire Night and how we can keep ourselves safe around fireworks. We will also be exploring the "Festival of Lights" celebration and finding out how Diwali is celebrated.  

We will also be exploring more about the world around us and the seasonal changes which are happening. We will be exploring hibernation and finding out how animals prepare for the winter months. Alongside this we will be observing the changes between night and day. 

We will then be getting ready for Christmas! We will be finding out why Christmas is a special time for Christians and how Christmas is celebrated around the world. We are also looking forward to performing a Christmas Nativity for our parents and carers to come and watch. 

Remembrance Day - Why are people wearing poppies?

We have noticed that poppies are appearing all around our community and lots of people are choosing to wear a poppy.

We have been learning that wearing poppies helps us to remember all of the soldiers who have kept us safe. We marked the occasion by making our own poppies.
