Tommy makes PPE for NHS

We are proud of all our pupils, but this week, in particular, we are proud of Tommy!

Tommy has been very busy over the last month: after seeing the shortage of protective equipment on the news for key workers, he decided he wanted to help out.

Having had a 3d printer for his last birthday, Tommy has spent weeks printing face visors - each one taking an hour to print. He has now made over 150, with many going to local nurses at the Derby Royal, and Nottingham City Hospitals.

Tommy has also spent lots of time researching all about the NHS and Covid-19. He said: "I feel really proud of myself and it’s great that I have helped to protect the NHS and the spread of Corona Virus."
