Remembrance Day 2020
Across the school today we stopped at 11am to have a two minute silence, to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in the World Wars.
We are proud to say that year 5 & 6 recognised the importance of Remembrance Day by designing their own unique t-shirts. Their interest was raised when finding out about WW2 and the plight of the soldier during that conflict. From that, we began our own ‘Poppy Project.’
Pupils experimented with drawing, painting and then digitally modifying their poppy designs to be printed onto t-shirts. This gave the children an opportunity to develop their own creativity through showing respect and becoming more involved in Remembrance Day.
Today, we wore our poppy prints with pride.
