We’re Going on a Bear Hunt Learning and Activities:

Share the story, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, with an adult.  Can you learn to tell the story whilst repeating the actions shown by the author?  Can you think different sound effects to add using objects from around your house?

Activities:

• Complete the story map. Can you write a sentence explaining each part of the story?
• Write a letter to one of your friends, telling them all about your exciting adventure and who you found in the cave.
• Write a character description of the bear to put on the wanted poster. Remember to your adjectives!
• Can you write your own version of the story? Maybe the family could travel across a new obstacle? Maybe they could be trying to find a different animal? Who else could live in the cave?
