Howitt Primary Community School
Welcome to the Howitt Primary website. I would like to take this opportunity to give you a brief introduction to the school, its values and aims.
Howitt is a larger than average primary school, with approximately 400 pupils. We are lucky to have our own purpose built Nursery, so that children can learn here from an early age. In the main school, there are 2 classes for each year group and we are well supported by our dedicated team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants who help each child to get the most out of learning.
The Deputy Police Commissioner of Derbyshire police came to visit Howitt Primary Community School to have a look at the all the building work that has taken place recently. He was very impressed with our school.
Thank you for all your support and co-operation during the difficulties we have been having since the burst pipe in the Infant department in school. Unfortunatley the reception class will be unable to be used at least until Easter but we will be using the Infant hall and the IT room to accommodate all children and classes. Please bear with us during this busy
A big thank you to Mrs Kate Mason, Headteacher of Smalley Richardson School, members of the school council, school governors and members of the community for their support in planning our school vision for the next academic year.
