Pupil Voice

At Howitt Primary Community School, we believe that the views, experience and influence of our pupils are a crucial part of our drive to continuously improve our learning environment and school community.

We are pleased to introduce you to our school councillors.

They have been democratically voted for by their class. They represent the views of all the children in the school. Their role centres around developing, promoting and embracing our school vision and values.

Having a School Council ensures that the pupil voice is heard. The councillors help with different projects throughout the school. They meet regularly and share their ideas and thoughts for making our school and community even better.

Over the years our school councillors have organised many fundraising activities to raise money for the school  or for different charities, some of which include Children in Need and Brain Tumour Research. The school councillors host a book sale each year for pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2. They are also invited to attend our ‘School Vision’ event each year.

The school councillors are a friendly, hardworking group of pupils who make us extremely proud.

We always welcome new ideas!
