Magical Minibeasts!

This half term our learning will be inspired by the magical world of minibeasts.  We will start by exploring our school grounds to discover different micro-habitats that are around us everyday. We will be investigating why minibeasts are important to our environment and how they can help plants to grow. We will also find out what we can do to help minibeasts and how to look after their homes.

We will be reading the following books:

• Mad About Minibeasts by Giles Andreae
• The Bad Tempered Ladybird by Eric Carle 
• Omar, The Bees and Me by Helen Mortimer
• The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle

We are also looking forward to inviting our grown ups into school again to share with them our learning!

The Bad Tempered Ladybird

We have read the story The Bad Tempered Ladybird by our author of the term Eric Carle.

We made our own ladybird biscuits, using our number skills to double the amount of spots on their wings.
