    Welcome to our Reception Class Page. This is your space to explore information and to celebrate the learning that is happening in our Reception classrooms throughout the year. From creative projects to special events, you’ll find everything you need to stay connected with what’s going on.

    .We are really looking forward to getting to know you this year.  We have a busy and exciting year ahead where we will develop new skills in our fun and exciting learning environment. We will have lots of opportunities to explore, play and learn whilst building social skills, developing self confidence and problem solving.

    Meet the Team

    Our Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS) is made up of dedicated staff who create a warm, engaging and supportive learning environment. Mrs Edgeley and Mrs Payler are the class teachers in R1 Busy Bees, supported by Mrs Webster, Miss Mugridge, Miss Marshall . In R2 Flamboyant Flamingos, teaching is led by Miss Boustead , with Miss Beardsley and Mrs McBean.supporting teaching and learning. 

    Together, our team works collaboratively to ensure every child feels valued, encouraged and inspired throughout their learning journey.

    • Alphablocks Play along with the Alphablocks and have fun with the letters of the alphabet.

    P.E.

    Our P.E days are Monday and Friday 

    All children in Reception get changed for their P.E lesson during the school day.

    Your child will need to bring a P.E kit to keep in school.

    Inside their P.E kit your child will need:

    • Plain white t-shirt
    • Dark blue/black shorts
    • Pimsolls

    Please label all items of clothing clearly with your child's name in a named drawstring bag that will be kept on their peg.
