Newsletters

Please have a look through our newsletters to find out what is happening each half-term. You can use them to discuss with your child what they are learning at school or to support further research at home.

Homework

Reading – In KS1, we encourage children to read to an adult at home daily. This helps children practise their phonic skills on a regular basis, and regular reading also supports the development of reading fluency and comprehension. As regular reading is so important, we have a reading reward scheme in school, which allows children to earn rewards for reading at home.

Maths – All children have an individual login for Numbots (Year 1) and TTRS (Year 2). These maths programmes help children develop fundamental number skills and consolidate the work we do in class. We encourage children to log in at least twice a week to complete their learning journeys.

Each half-term, children will be set a new piece of homework. This will either link to our Embark Awards and encourage children to reflect on their own personal achievements during that period.
