Mrs Cawdell, Miss Topham and Mr Sinclair would like to welcome you to Year 6. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Sellars and Miss Clarke.
In Year 6 we are studying some really exciting topics. In Science we will be looking at light and how we see things, we will be creating circuits and learning about interdependence and adaptation in the future. In history we are studying William Shakespeare and the Elizabethan period as well as battling our way across World War II. In geography we will be swinging our way through the dense rainforests of the world.
The children have a tough year ahead, with a lot of work needed to achieve the best possible progress. But we have our trip to London to look forward to and our Young Enterprise opportunities where the children create their own businesses to make a product to sell at a school fair. The money raised goes towards a fun time for the end of the year.
We have a tough but exciting year ahead – the journey continues!

Some of our Year 6 children had an amazing time on a trip to London, they went on the London Eye, met famous people in Madame Tussauds and enjoyed a night at the theatre watching Lion King.
Look at the fabulous art work we have done in year 6. We were inspired by Lowry.
Year 6 children and staff had a great day, dressing up in costumes from World War II and enjoying lots of different activities to launch their new topic on WWII.
